Narrative Writing

In class our writing programme was based around narrative writing, narrative writing is made up, it's fantasy.  We have been learning about the different types of narratives, fairy tales, science fiction, biography and lots more! I have just finished my narrative here it is...

The Fairy Tale Of Sidekicks

Donkey and Olaf are two very different people, but they do have things in common, they are both sidekicks and they both hate the hero’s getting all the attention.  Donkeys hero is Shrek and Olaf’s heroes are Anna and Elsa.  Donkey and Olaf, in fact all sidekicks are tired of the hero’s getting all the attention, really they don’t deserve it, but they don’t dare mention it.  Donkey and Olaf along with the rest of the heros live on an Island called The Lost Island, ( Probably because it is lost! ) The sidekicks just do their day-to-day things like cleaning the hero’s bedrooms and polishing their medals and trophies. But these two unlikely sidekicks are about to embark on an extraordinary adventure…

Early one morning Donkey and Olaf wake up to find all the heroes gone.  Outside they find not any villain but Maleficent!! She cleared her throat and announced, “Wellcome sidekicks I have caught your heroes and locked them up in my tower. Now finally Villains can win and heroes can lose! Mwahahaha!”Without another word she vanished into thin air.  “What next?” asked Olaf.  “Nothing” said Donkey.  “We have to do something,” declared Olaf.  “We could make a plan of attack!” he continued. Donkey thought on this for a while and finally said “yes!”

Later that day when the light was fading, Donkey and Olaf slyly sneaked into Maleficent's gloomy castle.  Once they were inside the tower they came upon a winding passage way, they assumed it would lead to the dungeon. To their astonishment it lead them to a bunch of cowardly heroes. Donkey and Olaf raced to help them out.  Surprisingly the heroes ran in fear. This left Donkey and Olaf speechless.  Now it was up to them to put a stop to maleficent's evil ways.  Once they were out of the dungeon they found themselves in a main chamber. They were dumbstruck., Maleficent was staring straight into their eyes. Donkey and Olaf were prepared for this. Olaf jumped onto Donkeys back and Donkey ran, he ran as fast as he could and was heading straight for her. At the same time olaf was throwing snowballs at her. This is a great idea as witches melt in water.  One, two, three snowballs hit Maleficent head on.” No!” she screeched.  Slowly she started to melt until all you could see was a puddle.

When they came back to their village, heroes heads started popping out of their hiding places.  Soon enough they started jeering and giving their thanks to the now heroes in training, Donkey and Olaf. From now on the heroes respect them for saving their lives. They live happily ever after.
